There are no direct flights from Europe to Coimbatore. You'll need to fly via a major Indian city such as Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, or Bangalore.

Recommended approach:

• Book a flexible international ticket from Stockholm to one of these major Indian cities
• Popular airlines: Emirates, Qatar Airways, Lufthansa
• Book your domestic flight to Coimbatore separately (see below)

Important: We advise against booking a "direct" Stockholm–Coimbatore ticket through a single booking system, as this may limit flexibility.

International and domestic terminals are separate at Indian airports:

• Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore: ~1–2 km apart
• Mumbai: ~4–5 km apart

Note: You'll need to collect your baggage at the international arrival point and re-check it for your domestic flight.

Booking domestic flights in India is easy and flexible:

• You can book a few months after your international ticket
• Use Indian airline websites or Swedish sites like Skyscanner.se or Momondo.se
• IndiGo is the most popular and reliable domestic airline

To make your experience smooth and coordinated, we kindly ask that all accommodation bookings in Coimbatore go through us. We recommend a 4-night stay (Thursday check-in – Monday check-out) for everyone who has RSVPed and confirmed that they would like us to arrange accommodation. This helps us ensure that everyone stays together at Darza Resort and can fully participate in all wedding activities.

Current status:

• Placeholder booking is currently set for Nov 28–29
• Rooms will be finalized once we have the confirmed guest count
• Target timeline: End of March / Early April 2026

Important notes:

You do not need to pay anything now to reserve your rooms. We will ask you to Swish or transfer the payment at the end of August or early September. We will send you a reminder and more details during the summer.

If cancellation becomes necessary due to unavoidable reasons, no accommodation costs will apply until the end of August / early September.

Some of us (including Prakash & Elin) will be staying in the city at another hotel before moving to Darza Resort.

If you would like to arrive a few days early to explore Coimbatore, we are happy to help you arrange accommodation in the city hotel as well.

In this case, we will all check in together at Darza Resort on Thursday, November 26th.

We recommend a 4-night stay at Darza Resort (Thursday–Monday).

If you would like to stay longer, please let us know in advance. We can reserve additional nights for you at Darza.

Prakash & Elin are currently planning to stay at Darza until December 1st or 2nd (TBD, depending on honeymoon plans).

Yes, this is possible — but you may miss some activities.

• On Friday morning, we have arranged an opportunity to try complimentary traditional Indian attire that will be worn during the ceremony. Especially for women, traditional sarees can be tricky when it comes to blouse sizing. To make everything smooth and comfortable, we have also arranged for a tailor who can make necessary adjustments within one day.
• There will also be time to visit stores and explore Indian party wear options for Saturday evening (optional, for those interested).
• Additionally, if you are arriving from a long-haul journey and check in on Friday, you may feel tired for the Friday night cocktail party.
• Even if you arrived in India a week earlier and are travelling within the country (for example, in Goa), getting to Coimbatore on Friday may still be tiring due to connecting flights or train journeys.

If possible, we strongly recommend arriving in Coimbatore on Thursday.

Yes, this is possible.

The ceremony and lunch are expected to conclude around 14:00. If you are booking a flight or train departing after 19:00–20:00 from Coimbatore, this should work.

However, please note that the ceremony begins early Sunday morning, so you will likely wake up quite early that day.

If possible, we recommend departing on Monday to enjoy a more relaxed experience.

• Local travel within Coimbatore

During late November, Coimbatore and Kerala will be warm and pleasant, around 28–30°C — great weather for sightseeing and relaxing.

If you're also planning to visit Delhi or parts of North India, please note:

• November can be quite cold, with temperatures around 5–10°C
• You'll need warmer clothing for those regions

Coimbatore is surrounded by hills, forests, and beautiful nature, making it a great base for short trips.

Some of the most popular nearby destinations include:

• Mudumalai National Park – a forest reserve known for wildlife and nature
• Ooty – a hill station famous for its cool climate, tea estates, and scenic views

Both are around 3–5 hours by car from Coimbatore and are perfect for a 2–3 night stay.

Getting around:

We can help arrange reliable car rentals with a driver, which is the most comfortable way to travel in this region. There are also many lovely resorts and hotels near these destinations, and we're happy to help with recommendations and bookings.

Kerala is right next to Coimbatore and offers a completely different (and beautiful!) experience — hills, tea plantations, backwaters, and beaches.

Some of the most popular places include:

• Munnar – hill station with tea estates and cooler weather
• Alappuzha & Kumarakom – famous for backwaters and houseboats
• Varkala – a relaxed beach town (often described as a calmer "Goa-like" vibe)

You can plan a Kerala trip for as little as 3 nights or extend it to a full week, depending on how many places you'd like to cover.
